Adding a site
Each site you monetize gets its own profile and a unique site key.
Before you can grab embed code, you need to tell us about the site where you'll show ads. Adding a site takes about thirty seconds.
Add the site
- Click My sites in the left nav.
- Click + Add a site in the top right.
- Fill in:
- Friendly name - what to call this site in your dashboard. Visitors never see this.
- Site URL - the canonical URL of the site (e.g.
https://example.com).
- Click Add site.
What's the site key?
When you save, we generate a unique 32-character site key. It looks like:
087a3f53e9d218c3cc467f2362a20562
The key is how our ad server identifies your site. It's baked into every embed snippet we generate for you, and it's what we use to attribute earnings to your account.
Treat the site key like a password - anyone who has it could use it to attribute earnings to your account. Don't post it publicly or commit it to a public repo.
Why a separate site for each property?
If you operate more than one site, registering each one separately gives you:
- Per-site reporting - see which sites earn the most, where to invest more, where placements aren't working.
- Independent control - disable one site without touching another.
- Cleaner attribution - earnings can't be mistakenly assigned to the wrong property.
Managing a site
Click any site's name on the My sites page to open its detail view. From there you can:
- See all-time stats - earnings, views, clicks, conversions, and RPM for that site.
- See its slots - every slot you've created on this site, with quick links to manage each.
- Top earning campaigns - which advertiser offers have earned the most on this site.
- Get code - jump straight to the embed snippet for this site.
- Edit the friendly name and site URL.
- Disable or Enable the site with one click. A disabled site stops serving ads - snippets on disabled sites won't render anything.
The site key is immutable - it can't be changed by editing. Your existing embed snippets depend on the key, so they keep working across name and URL edits. If you need a brand-new key (e.g. the old one was leaked), contact us.
Status meanings
- Active - the site is allowed to serve ads. This is the default for new sites.
- Pending - under review. We'll let you know if there's anything to address.
- Disabled - the site is not currently allowed to serve ads. Snippets on disabled sites won't render anything. Flip it back to Active any time from the site's detail page.
What's next?
Once your site is active, head over to Offers to pick an advertiser campaign to run, then to Get code for that offer + site combination.
